Why a dedicated toy cleaner matters
Dish soap, hand soap, and body wash leave residue that degrades silicone and TPE over time — and can irritate sensitive skin. Proper toy cleaners are pH-balanced, residue-free, and formulated for body-safe contact. A $15 bottle makes every toy in your drawer last significantly longer.
Spray cleaners
The everyday default. Spray on, wipe off, done. Ideal between uses when you don't want to rinse under the tap. Most spray cleaners are alcohol-free and pH-balanced, safe for silicone, TPE, metal, glass, and ABS plastic. Keep one next to the bed.
Foaming and wash cleaners
For a full rinse-down. Foaming cleaners lift lube and body fluids more effectively than spray, and they're the right choice for porous materials like TPE that need a proper wash. Use warm water (not hot — heat can damage some materials), and always air-dry fully before storage.
Renewing powder (for TPE and cyberskin)
TPE sleeves, strokers, and realistic materials get sticky over time as plasticisers migrate to the surface. Renewing powder (usually cornstarch-based) restores the soft, dry finish and prevents sticking. Dust on after every clean, once fully dry. This is the single product that keeps realistic strokers feeling new.
Cleaning by material
Silicone, glass, stainless steel: toy cleaner or warm soapy water, rinse, air-dry. Dishwasher-safe (top shelf, no detergent) for non-motorised items. TPE, elastomer, cyberskin: gentle cleaner, warm water rinse, thorough air-dry, renewing powder. Never boil or dishwash. Leather: leather-specific cleaner and conditioner — never submerge. Electronics and motorised toys: wipe with spray cleaner, never fully submerge unless the product is marked waterproof.
